Agave Print Studio - Dianne Longley
Dianne Longley has a PhD in printmaking history and four decades of exhibiting behind her. At her Trentham studio she works across etching, encaustic, pokerwork, bronze casting and artist books — populating each with a recurring cast: tricksters, frogs in strange dress, giraffes, medieval monsters. The imagery draws on Rabelais and Conrad Gesner. Artist books held by the State Library of Victoria and the National Library of Australia.

Agave Print Studio - Dianne Longley
Dianne Longley has a PhD in printmaking history and monsters on her walls. Working from Trentham in the Central Highlands, she moves between printmaking, encaustic, pokerwork, porcelain and bronze casting — often within the same body of work. Her cast of characters: Renaissance beasts, Rabelaisian figures, kawaii toys and agave plants, assembled into scenes where, as one critic put it, someone asks directions from a chicken.
Ceramics & Clay
Artedeco
Artedeco welcomes visitors into a dedicated ceramics studio on Vincent Street in NSW, where clay becomes a vehicle for artistic expression and functional beauty. Operating seven days a week, this generous availability reflects the studio's commitment to accessibility and community engagement. Ceramics & Clay
Black Gallery Daylesford
A working studio and gallery on Hospital Street where abstract paintings, prints, sculptures and ceramics share space with the artist making them. Weekend opening hours keep things focused; the option to book a workshop or simply watch someone at work makes it worth the detour.
Ceramics & Clay
Clayfire Gallery Daylesford
On Vincent Street in Daylesford, Clayfire stocks hand-blown glass, copper and marble tableware, and original works from local emerging and established painters and sculptors. The mix — stemless champagne flutes beside framed canvases — makes it equal parts gift shop and small gallery, which, in a town that runs on weekenders, is a reasonable thing to be.
Textile & Fibre
Craftlandia
Philippa Burne (screenwriter, VCA teacher, childhood-trained in spinning and seaweed dyeing) and Bali Portman (veteran crocheter, Australian yarn bombing pioneer) run this Daylesford studio offering workshops in crochet, felting, knitting, spinning and writing, plus yarn supplies. The combination of textile knowledge and storytelling craft is genuinely unusual. Drop in for a class or just to talk yarn with Bali.
Visual Art
Curated x Daylesford
A lighting, interiors and curiosities salon operating by appointment from a rear-accessed studio off Vincent Street. The "Salon d'Art Objet" framing signals something closer to a collector's cabinet than a shop — eco-luxe in orientation, unhurried by design.
Visual Art
Daylesford Life drawing & Portraits.
Kristeena Saville draws from life — performers mid-set, portraits on commission, workshop participants learning to see the human figure clearly. The Daylesford-based artist works across multiple mediums and regularly haunts live music venues, sketchbook in hand. Commissions, limited-edition prints, and workshops are all available.
Ceramics & Clay
Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre Inc.
On Camp Street, Daylesford, the Neighbourhood Centre runs ceramics and clay classes open to beginners and regulars alike. Manager Kate and her small team also field proposals — if you have a skill worth teaching, they want to hear it. Community infrastructure, quietly doing its job.
Glass
Daylesford Spirit
Daylesford's craft distillery runs a tighter range than most: Blood Orange Gin, a barrel-aged Negroni, Sloe, Blueberry, and a Shiraz Gin aged in red wine barrels. The limited releases sell out. The cocktail recipes on the website suggest these bottles are meant to be opened, not displayed.

Daylesford Sunday Market
Forty-five years old and still going every Sunday without fail—rain, hail, or snow—the Daylesford Sunday Market runs from the town's railway station on Raglan Street. Up to 130 stalls, free parking, dogs on leads welcome. It's a not-for-profit run by railway volunteers, which perhaps explains why it feels less like a lifestyle event and more like an actual market.
Visual Art
Greg Mallyon Art
Painter and printmaker Greg Mallyon works from a studio at 22 West Street, Daylesford. His 2021 National Capital Art Prize win for landscape signals where his focus sits. Studio visits are by appointment; his work also appears through Revival Gallery in Brisbane and Manyung Gallery in Melbourne.

Glass
Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm
Stone buildings, cobbled courtyards, olive groves, lavender rows, alpacas, Highland cows, guinea fowl — Lavandula packs a lot into its Swiss Italian-inflected Daylesford hills property. Maria's Trattoria handles the hearty European cooking; Tinetti's Dairy Barn pours wine under the trees. The farm store sells lavender oils, soaps, and honeys grown and made on-site.

Visual Art
Radius Art
A gallery in Hepburn Springs with a strict geographic rule: every painter, ceramist, printmaker and photographer shown must live within 50 kilometres. That radius pulls in artists from Ballarat to Castlemaine, Maldon to Clunes. An exhibition committee of regional creatives selects the work. The shop sells handcraft, not homewares. It's a meaningful distinction.
Glass
The Daylesford Hot Chocolate Company
Tucked away on Raglan Street in NSW, The Daylesford Hot Chocolate Company merges the warmth of hospitality with the luminous craft of glasswork. This distinctive studio creates handcrafted glass pieces that catch and celebrate light, offering visitors a sensory experience beyond the visual. Guests find themselves drawn into conversations about technique and artistry while surrounded by beautiful glass creations. It's a rare space where indulgence and artisanal skill converge into something truly special.
Jewellery & Metalwork
The Empress & Wolf (Crystal Shop)
Daylesford's go-to for crystal jewellery — pendants, rings, earrings and Moldavite pieces — alongside tumbled stones, tarot decks and oracle cards. The blog actively debunks crystal mythology, which tells you something about the people running it. Silver is stocked with an eye on its rising value as much as its aesthetics.
Jewellery & Metalwork
The Farmers Wife
The Farmers Wife on Vincent Street in NSW specializes in jewellery and metalwork with a distinctive aesthetic rooted in rural craftsmanship sensibilities. This studio brings together carefully considered pieces that reflect both traditional metalworking techniques and contemporary design thinking. The welcoming storefront welcomes visitors daily, offering a chance to explore handcrafted jewellery and metalwork that carries genuine character. With consistent opening hours throughout the week, including weekend availability, it's an accessible destination for those seeking distinctive, well-made adornments.

This studio creates furniture and wooden pieces that carry the character of their materials and making process. Visitors find themselves in a space where traditional techniques meet contemporary vision, where each item reflects time, attention, and respect for the wood itself. It's a destination for those seeking meaningful, handcrafted pieces with regional authenticity.
Visual Art
Thirteen 05 Gallery
Husband-and-wife Emma McAdam-Marmont and Struan Hopwood show only their own work here — no rotating roster, no outside artists. Emma's figure paintings (the *Bodies* and *Suits* series) sit alongside Struan's graffiti-inflected, pop-culture layering, and often the two are in the gallery on weekends to talk you through it. Founded after a trip to Prague, payment plans available.
