A-ESQUE

Amanda Rettig built Mimco through the 1990s and 2000s, sold it in 2007, and started over in 2012 with A-ESQUE — a leather goods label made in her own Melbourne atelier. The bags work in families rather than seasons: Teardrop, Cloud, Fold, each a structural idea returned to and refined. In March 2026 she opened a flagship on High Street, Armadale, run less as a shop than as a rotating gallery for the label's own work.
