Awl Leather

Bruce Erskine has worked leather for close to fifty years; for more than thirty of them, AWL has been the leather shop in Bellingen — long enough that the town just calls it that. Shoes, sandals, moccasins, belts, saddlery and horse gear are cut and stitched on the premises, alongside period footwear made for reenactors and for stage and screen. The workshop is open to watch any day of the week, and the showroom carries other Australian leatherworkers and a wall of working materials.
