Blue Mountains, NSW
The Story
Opened in 1988 and run on a no-fees, no-commission model by Blue Mountains City Council, Braemar Gallery gives local artists a low-barrier route to exhibition. The heritage Braemar House on Macquarie Road, Springwood, hosts rotating shows spanning painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography — current exhibitions include Sheridan Linnell's unsettling naïve figurative works and Rob Gordon's acrylic landscapes of Blue Mountains waterways. Free entry, Thursday to Sunday.
