Design Tasmania

Founded in 1976 on the corner of Brisbane and Tamar streets, Design Tasmania holds the only museum collection of its kind in Australia: 80 pieces of contemporary Tasmanian wood design, acquired biennially and exhibited everywhere from Parliament House to Helsinki. The galleries draw over 100,000 visitors annually. The shop is worth your time too.
