The Story
Ian welds life-sized cattle and three-metre flowers from scrap steel; Jane cuts fine art from recycled tin and flywire. Together, since 2012, they run Designer Dirt out of Walmsley — part landscape supply yard, part gallery, part workshop space. Ian's beginner welding classes run alongside loads of soil delivered by front-end loader. The 1967 VW Beetle in the yard is his, restored by hand.
