Sallie Portnoy works in cast glass lead crystal, clay, bronze, cement, and glass mosaic from her Queenscliff studio. The Canadian-born sculptor is drawn to human form and the subconscious — her figurative works produced alongside mosaic floors, walls, community projects, and weekend workshops. A studio practice that sprawls, but always returns to glass catching light.
