KOITOYA Design. Make. Teach

Hiroshi Yamaguchi trained at Shinrin-Takumi Juku in Takayama — Japan's historic woodworking city — before spending decades teaching furniture-making at the Gifu Academy of Forestry and working with recycled timber in Canberra. His Fyshwick studio runs classes alongside commissions, all grounded in reading wood's natural grain and colour rather than overriding it.
