Wood & Furniture
Marlo Woodwork
Sydney, NSW
The Story
Marlo Woodwork began in Tasmania and now works from a studio in Sydney's inner west, shaping lighting and furniture from steam-bent timber. The process uses water, heat and time to coax the wood into curves, running through the studio's floor lamps, pendants, coat racks and sculptural pieces, drawn from the forms of the Australian bush. Named pieces like the Amos tripod lamp are built from ethically sourced hardwood, designed and made in Australia, and sold at markets and online.
