The Story
Ngaere Mercer — the Crazy Crate Lady — builds furniture from reclaimed pallet and crate timber, each piece visibly different in grain, colour, knot, and ink stamp. Offcuts become garden stakes; sawdust goes to a local permaculture farm. The Lockridge studio also hires out crate furniture for events and runs NDIS woodworking mentoring sessions.
