Porch Ceramics

Ryan Der and Sammy Smith founded Porch Ceramics out of a working relationship that began with a restaurant tableware range — Smith's chef background, Der's years in clay. The North Fremantle studio now runs wheel-throwing courses and group hand-building sessions for up to 27, produces commercial tableware and lighting, and takes custom commissions. There's a practical streak to everything they make; functionality isn't an afterthought.
