River Timber Designs

Mona is a self-taught wood and resin artist in Brisbane who returned to woodworking after a 2018 work injury, when a gumtree felled on her property was milled and its grain pulled her in. From a home workshop she hand-selects sustainable Australian timber and sets it in resin, making earrings and pendants alongside clocks, serving boards and lamps built around underwater scenes of divers, turtles and rays. Each piece is planned and made one at a time, sold online and at markets.
