Robert Howard

Mechanical engineer turned cabinetmaker, Robert Howard has been working and teaching woodworking in South Brisbane since the late 1980s. His classes cover furniture-making and woodcarving; he also writes for *Australian Wood Review*. The through-line is solid wood — cedar, grain, three-dimensional form — worked by someone who walked away from a career to spend forty years doing this instead.
