Leatherwork
Saddler & Co
Central West NSW, NSW
The Story
Bede and Jemima Aldridge started Saddler & Co in a Dubbo backyard in 2010 and built it into a leather workshop on the western plains, where a team of makers cuts and stitches bags, totes, wallets and journals by hand in small runs. Bede is a saddler by trade, and the workshop still makes and repairs saddles alongside the everyday range — the equestrian grounding shows in the saddle bags and bridle-weight hardware. The Dubbo store is the workshop floor, open to watch the leather being worked.
