Simone Agius makes sculptural leather bags and wallets by hand in her Brunswick atelier, cutting and stitching to order in bovine and kangaroo leather from Australian tanneries. The shapes lean architectural — the Bay, the Lune, the Nurture tote — and are built to be repaired rather than replaced, with repairs offered for the life of the bag. She teaches from the same studio, running small bag-making classes in the techniques behind her own work.
