Trinette learned to sew from her seamstress mother, eventually trading dressmaking for patchwork. At her Coffs Harbour studio she now operates a longarm quilting machine — taking on commission pieces from baby quilts to queen-size — and sells fabric and supplies online. The through-line from childhood dolly outfits to full-scale bedding is, somehow, completely convincing.
