The Lock-Up

Housed in a former police station at 90 Hunter Street in Muloobinba/Newcastle, The Lock-Up runs contemporary exhibitions across spaces that still carry their history. Programming spans group shows such as COLLECT 2026, an artist-in-residence scheme, and guided tours and creative workshops for school groups. Exhibitions draw on multiple artists, and the building's past as a place of confinement remains part of how visitors move through it.
