Osborne Park's 100-member makerspace runs on a straightforward premise: the tools — laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC machines — are available to anyone, regardless of skill. More than 300 people pass through monthly for 15-plus events. The emphasis on mental health as a guiding principle, not an afterthought, gives the place an atmosphere that's noticeably less competitive than most workshops of its kind.
