Nephelle Watts spent years cycling through graphic design, fashion and retail before resin brought her to a halt. The material that first moved her was a recreation of Antarctic ice — inspired by her partner's family sailing documentaries to the southern ocean — and it still hangs at home. Now she runs a Lakes Entrance studio teaching resin, ink and pottery, with a team that includes a ceramics teacher originally from the Czech Republic and a wheel-throwing studio assistant who started as a regular.
