Alex Thom has run this Byron Bay gallery since 2016, selecting every painting, sculptural work and work on paper himself. The curatorial logic resists trend and social status — Thom takes time with collectors, letting work unfold rather than sell. The Arakwal name for the area, Cavannbah, means "meeting place." The gallery wears that history with some seriousness.
