Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre

The building predates its current life by more than a century — Fremantle Arts Centre has occupied this Finnerty Street landmark since 1973, when Ian Templeman became its founding director. Galleries are currently closed for a new exhibition season opening in May 2025, but the broader precinct — studios, workshops, programs — continues to draw practitioners and curious visitors into one of the country's more seriously historical arts buildings.
