Artweaver SAORI Studio

Heather Walters trained directly under Kenzo Jo at Saorinomori in Osaka before founding this Templestowe Lower studio in 2014. The focus is SAORI — a Japanese freeform weaving method that ditches rules in favour of instinct. Classes welcome complete beginners. Husband Greg, an engineer, handles the technical side, including keeping the studio's environmental footprint down.
